Car In Ditch After Collision
Murray John Roberts, aged 26, of Southbridge, was injured when the truck he was driving and a car collided near the corner of T i Tapu and Osterholt roads last evening. He was admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital where his condition was later reported to be satisfactory. The car. 'riven Mr R. L. D. Gregory-Hunt, of Tai Tapu, swerved to avoid the collision, and hit part of the truck. It veered off the road towards a pole. The driver in avoiding the pole put the car in a ditch Cft deep. One of Mr Gregory-Hunt’s four children suffered a slight scratch, but he and his wife and the other children were not hurt
Mrs Y. Franks, of 161 Deans avenue, and her two sons, Dean and Stephen, suffered slight injuries when the car they were in ran into tLv back of a parked car in Blenheim road about 2.50 p.m. Both cars were extensively damaged. Mrs Fra iks, who was driving the car, and her sons were treated at the Christchurch Hospital and discharged.
Stanley Wojtas, aged nine, of 11 Rowcliffe crescent, suffered bead injuries in a collision between a car and a cycle at the corner of Pages and Cuffs road about 5.30 p.m. He was admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital where his condition was later reported to be satisfactory.
