Parliament’s Diary
The National Library Bill was introduced and read a first time when Parliament resumed yesterday morning. The annual report of the Medical Research Council and details of a trade agreement between New Zealand and Poland were tabled.
Estimates passed (with the amounts actually spent last year in each case in brackets) were: Transport Department, £1,400,000 (£1,327,378), Civil Aviation and Meteorological Services, £4,669,000 (£4,270,672), Airport Development, £2,009,000 (£2,209,688).
