Old Cars Cause Of Bankruptcy

Old cars were the main cause of his bankruptcy, Donald Arthur McLintock, a machine operator, of 22 Lam-

beth crescent, told a meeting of his creditors yesterday morning. The high cost of keeping his second-hand cars roadworthy had been a continual drain on his financial resources.

The meeting was adjourned sine die for want of a quorum. McLintock, who was adjudged bankrupt on August 5, had a total deficiency of £390 5s sd. said the official assignee, Mr P. D. Clancy. His total debts were £335 5s 5d and his total assets £45.

McLintock was formerly adjudged bankrupt on March 9, 1962, when living in Wellington. He had not yet been discharged from his former bankruptcy, said Mr Clancy.
