Benefit Concert For Crippled Children

Ukranian, Russian, Greek, and New Zealand children will combine to present a concert on behalf of the Canter-bury-Westland branch of the Crippled Children Society in Begg’s Concert Chamber on August 28. The children, aged from six to 15 years of age, will present a variety of items. Solo and group singing, instrumental numbers, and dancing are included in the programme. Twenty-five children who are cared for by the society have been invited to the concert, and the rest of the seats will be available to the public. Proceeds from the concert will go towards buying a wheel-chair for the society.
