Barbados Seeks Independence

Barbados is to seek full independence from Britain, it has been announced in Bridgetown. A Government White Paper said that the House of Assembly is to be asked to agree to a resolution asking Britain to fix an early data for a conference on independence.
An internally self-govern-ing colony, Bwhados is the most eastern of ihe West Indies group and has a population of about 235,000.
