Execution By Djakarta (N.Z.P. A. -Reuter — Copyright) DJAKARTA, August 15. The recently - captured Southern Celebes guerrilla leader Gerungan has been executed, an Army spokesman has announced. Djakarta newspapers quoted Brigadier-General Ibnu Subroto as saying that preparations had been made to take Gerungan before a military court, but “because of the developments in the Southern Celebes it was decided to shoot him dead.” Gerungan, the selfappointed head of the Danil Islam Movement, was captured last month in an ambush by Government troops in the Southern Celebes.
