In nearly five hours of discussion. Parliament yesterday passed three classes of estimates totalling £56.5 million. Urgency was called on seven classes, but the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) moved that progress be reported after three had been passed. With the amounts actually spent last year in brackets, these were: Housing construction £7.500,000 (£7,669.860), state advances corporation £19,700 (£11.055), working rail wavs. £48,900.000 (£45,474,807).
