Car-Dealer Gaoled

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug. 13. A 35-year-old company director, James Hannah Deacon, was sentenced to a total of two years’ imprisonment by Mr Justice Moller today. Deacon appeared for sentence after pleading guilty on August 6 to three charges of fraudently converting to his own use money totalling £2876 10s 3d, which he received as a licensed motorvehicle dealer. His Honour sentenced Deacon to two years’ imprisonment on each charge. The terms are to be concurrent.
