VIETNAM SOLUTION
‘U.S. Action Not Way’ J (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) SOUTHAMPTON. Aug. 10. United States action in Vietnam could not bring about a satisfactory solution, Lord Caradon, the head of Britain’s permanent delegation to the United Nations, said last night. He told a meeting of the U.N. Association: “I don’t believe, and I don’t think anyone does, that the action of the United States can bring about a satisfactory solution in Vietnam.” The only satisfactory solution lay through international action. “But peace in the world is not enough unless it brings economic and social advance. That is what the U.N. aims it,” he said.
