WORK IN PRISON RIOT

Ambulance Bodies Thanked The St. John Ambulance Association and brigade have been commended for their work during the recent riot at Paparua Prison. The Minister of Justice (Mr Hanan) has written to the association saying that he had heard of its fine contribution, and he knew the staff of the prison were grateful for the prompt help. He sent his thanks to all Who helped in any way. A letter was also received from the superintendent of the Christchurch Prison (Mr M. C. K. Carew), who said that the knowledge-fihat medical assistance was available relieved him of one great worry.
