July Building Permits
Building permits for work worth £693,018 on 304 jobs produced £2lOl 10s in fees for the City Council last month. This brought the value of the 1314 permits issued since March 31 to £2,291,030, yielding £6949 10s in fees. Seventy permits were issued in July for new houses worth £257,306, greatest activity being in the eastern sector, with 40 permits worth £122,346. Twelve permits for 32 flat units worth £73,371 were issued, as well as 11 permits for other buildings worth £140,149. Alterations to existing buildings covered 34 permits, worth £178,070.
