MAMMOTH LOTTERY

No. 5 Almost Sold Out (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. August 10. Mr N. McArthur, organiser of the Golden Kiwi lotteries, said today that all tickets in the No. 5 Mammoth lottery should be sold within the next two days. An early announcement of the drawing date of this lottery was expected; Sales would have been completed earlier if a minority of agents had concentrated on selling No. 5 first, instead of selling No. 5 and No. 6 together, he said. The innovation of having tickets available in more than one lottery had proved a big success to the sellers and the public. Information received from agencies throughout the country indicated that 40 per cent of tickets in No. 6 lottery had been sold.
