CHINA’S REVIEWING STAND.—T’ien-an Men (the gate of heavenly peace) in Peking. Once the gateway to the Imperial City (the walled city situated within the inner city), it now serves as a reviewing stand for the leaders of the People’s Republic of China when parades are held in the adjoining T’ien-an Men Square. The Chinese slogans read, “Long live the People’s Republic of China” and “Long live the unity of the peoples of the world.”
