PYE GROUP TURNOVER

TV Demand Still High (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug. 10. Group turn-over of Pye Electronics, Ltd., Auckland, in the first three months of the current year was running at the same level as last year, the chairman (Mr G. A. Woolier) told shareholders at the annual meeting today. The demand for television sets was still unsatisfied and production remained at a high level. The telecommunications division continued to expand. Recently, it had gained Government contracts in excess of £lOO,OOO. The Pye instrument landing systems being installed at the two international airports at Mangere and Harewood were proceeding satisfactorily, Mr Woolier said.
