Novelist’s Death
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK, Aug. 10. Shirley Jackson, a bestselling novelist, died at her Vermont home on Sunday. She was 45. One of her more successful novels, “We Have Always Lived in the Castle,” was adapted for the Broadway stage. Her other works include “The Haunting of Hill House,” “The Sundial,” “The Bird’s Nest,” and “The Road Through the Wall.”
