Canterbury Won Easily
The Canterbury women’s basketball team scored an overwhelming, 86-38, win over Mid-Canterbury and then defeated Otago comfortably, 43-17, at Cowles Stadium. Canterbury scored almost at will against Mid-Canterbury and was vastly superior in all phases of play. The loss of two key players was partly responsible in Otago’s poor performance after it had held Canterbury in the South Island championships. Results:— Canterbury A 86.
