TV SET FOR HOSTEL

A television set has been given to the Justice Department’s pre-release hostel in Opawa by the Christchurch and Christchurch South Rotary Clubs. “The men are very tired when they get home from work, and this is a way for them to relax and fill in the evenings,” said the warden (Mr J. W. Broadley) yesterday. “They have to stay at the hostel four evenings a week.” The television set will be presented to the hostel on Thursday evening by Mr R. M. Young, president of the Christchurch Rotary Club, and Mr T. H. McCombs, president of the Christchurch South Rotary Club.
