Parliament’s Diary
Papers tabled when Parliament met yesterday included the annual reports of the International Labour Organisation, the Committee to Review Power Requirements, Planning Committee on Electric Power Development in New Zealand, the Local Government Commission, the Director-General of Forests.
The following classes of estimates (with the amount spent in 1963-64 in parenthesis) were passed: Maori affairs, £1,465,000 (£1,434,778), island territories, £1.660,000 (£1,546,148), scientific and industrial research, £3,545,000 (£3,024,792).
