NO SIGN OF MAN
Two Parties Return
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 3. Search parties on foot today found no trace of the missing Taihape fanner, Graham Bruce Collier, aged 30. Mr Collier has been missing on the 30,000 acre Mangaohane station since Thursday afternoon. The Taihape police said tonight that two search parties had been out on foot all day and were returning, without success, to a base camp late tonight. Another four-man party with supplies is camping out east of the Rangitikei river tonight. Snow was falling at Taihape up until about 9 o'clock tonight and throughout the day there was rain, hail and fog, said Detective-Sergeant B. N. Middleton.
This morning a helicopter from Wanganui searched the thick bush on the slopes of the Ruahine ranges. An aircraft owned by Wanganui Aero Works, Ltd., also took part in the search.
