Tractor Safety Legislation
(Parliamentary Reporter)
WELLINGTON, Aug. 3.
The Government still intends to bring in legislation this session on tractor safety. The Minister of Labour (Mr Shand) made it clear in Parliament today that the intention was to “keep as up to date as possible” on the subject.
It might be necessary, he added, to bring in some legislation this year on tractor safety, and some next, depending largely on what progress is made at the Agricultural Engineering Institute at Lincoln and the Standards Institute.
