Higher Bank Ratio
After a week’s relaxation of the bank credit squeeze, the Reserve Bank has imposed a higher ratio of trading banks’ demand deposits which must be frozen with the Reserve Bank. From July 22, the ratio is 23 per cent against 20 per cent the week before and 21 per cent on July 9.
