Final Court Dead

•'The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND.

The successful stallion, Final Court, was found dead in his box at the Fencourt Stud, Cambridge, on Saturday morning. A 12-year-old chestnut by Supreme Court from Cooee, Final Court has been represented by many good winners. They Include Final Command, winner of the 1963 Easter Handicap at Ellerslie, who later went to the United States.

Others are Final Call, Fencourt, Court Raid, Court Beau, Silver Theme, Warea Boy, Trial By Jury, Antao, Loyal Ruler, and one of last season’s most promising two-year-olds, Min Flieka. The oldest of his progeny have just turned six. Final Court was owned by Messrs T., P. J. and J. P. Hogan, of Cambridge. Mr J. P. Hogan said yesterday that Final Court had seemed “bright and cheeky” when fed on Friday evening. The horse had been fully booked for the new stud season.
