Index Rises On Week (N.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright) SYDNEY, July 28. Over the week ending today in which the Sydney Stock Exchange market fluctuated, a rise eventuated in the share price index of 2.69 points to 319.73. The average daily turnover in industrials was lower at 383,000, but mining was higher at 130,000. The most active industrial stocks traded were Waltons, the newcomer to the market, Vickers Australia, and Ansett. Mount Isa, B.H.P. and Hill 50 had comparatively heavy turn-overs. Movements Of the sections over-all, there were rises in nine and falls in five. The movements in nine sections were small and could be described as steady. Of the more significant movements, the rises occurred in steel and engineering, fuel, light and power, buildings and construction and transport and communication. The remaining fall, not large, was in the pastoral section. Broken Hill announced an issue to shareholders of approximately 16m shares at par on the basis of pne-for-seven held at October 1, 1965.
