New Measures Decided On (N.Z P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) TOKYO, July 28. Japan’s Economic Policy Council yesterday decided on a new series of measures designed to stimulate the nation's economy and rehabilitate depressed business, a Cabinet spokesman announced. This followed a series of unusual business relief measures adopted late last month by the council, including the year’s third cut in the official discount rate, which have failed to show signs of recovery from the protracted business recession.
