NEW ZEALAND SHIP IN MALAYSIAN WATERS.—The coastal minesweeper Santon on patrol. This is the first official picture received of one of the two New Zealand-manned coastal minesweepers working in the area. With H.M.N.Z.S. Hickleton, the Santon is engaged on patrols designed to intercept Indonesian infiltrators who try to cross to the Malaysian mainland in fast small craft. The Santon is commanded by Lieutenant L.J. Tempero, of Christchurch.
