Waimairi Fee Fixed

The Audit Office has ruled that the Waimairi County Council’s commission for collecting the Christchurch Drainage Board’s rates will be 2} per cent

The board had proposed a commission of 2 per cent the council said it could not collect on that basis, and the Audit Office was asked for a decision.

The secretary-treasurer (Mr T. A. Tucker) told the board last evening that on the present basis Waimairi would receive £5062. On the new 2j per cent the commission would be £4513.
