Broke Window

A man ridipg a bicycle threw a large stone through the plate-glass window of James Shand and Company, wine and spirits merchants, Victoria street, last evening. An eye witness reported this to detectives after they had been notified that a smash and grab raid had been carried out on the premises. The witness said the man did not stop after throwing the stone, but bicycled steadily on up Victoria street.
