Fire-Power Display

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 23. Students of the R.N.Z.A.F. command and staff college at Whenuapai will watch an Army fire-power demonstration using infantry, armour and artillery weapons at Waiouru on July 30. The 14-man command course, which includes one Army and one naval officer, will watch while infantrymen of the Ist Battalion Depot at Burnham, demonstrate the the handling and firing of the Mobat anti-tank weapon, the three-inch mortar, the general purpose machine-gun and small arms.

Men of the Army’s school of armour at Waiouru will display the fast M. 41 tank and the heavy Centurion in action and the School of Artillery will demonstrate the 105 milimetre pack howitzer, the weapon with which New Zealand V-force is equipped.
