Want Dearer Beer Bottles
(N.Z. Press Association) TAURANGA, July 23. The Federation of Country Women’s Institutes wants the deposit on beer bottles to be 7d —the same deposit that housewives pay on milk bottles.
Waikato East Federation delegates told the annual conference that because empty beer bottles had little value, they were left around the countryside, and were a menace to the safety of children and an eyesore.
