SHEEP FARMERS grave risk of sleepy sickness predicted DON’T TAKE CHANCES FEED PEERLESS SHEEP NUTS NOW! Sleepy Sickness (Pregnancy Toxaemia) is a nutritional disease, usually associated with a lowering of the animals food intake during the last critical six weeks of pregnancy. During this period, ewes are usually unable to eat large quantities of food. Therefore a food of high nutritive content is essential. By feeding Peerless Sheep Nuts which are high in nutritive content, farmers are assured that their sheep will suffer no nutritional setbacks during this period, or indeed any periods of poor pasture. In fact growth rate will actually be maintained. This is because Peerless Sheep Nuts provide a scientific balance of ingredients essential for complete nutrition. These include linseed meal and 'De-Hy' dehydrated lucerne to give high protein and excellent energy sources. Also, UREA, to enable the sheep's rumen mircroflora to fully utilise poor pasture pickings, or poor hay. They also contain trace elements such as Copper, which promotes growth and wool production; Cobalt, to guard against bush sickness and to ensure efficient functioning of the rumen, and lodine to prevent goitre. Because Peerless Sheep Nuts is a quality feed, it takes only one bag per day (plus other roughage) to feed 600 sheep. D. H. BROWN & SON LTD MOORHOUSE AVENUE, CHRISTCHURCH. I— -2-1
