Old Car In River
An old model car was put in the Heathcote river at Opawa last evening. The car is owned by Mr R. R. Gourley, of 76 Osborne street. Mr Gourley was going out when a front tyre on the car punctured. He left the car in Sullivan avenue, facing away from the river. About 8 p.m., the police were informed that the car was in the river. Mr Gourley was amazed, as he had left it about 300 yards from the river, and gone on in a friend’s car.
