VIET CONG ON MOVE

Build-up Near Bien Hoa (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) BIEN HOA, July 23. A thousand Viet Cong troops were reported on the move 10 miles north-east of Bien Hoa air base, military officials said today. They were reported to have crossed the Dong Nai river from a training camp in War Zone E 10 days ago. The force was believed to be part of a big Viet Cong build-up, estimated to appr'oach regiment strength. Sources said elements of at least three hard-core battalions had been identified in the area. Last Friday a joint force of 20 Australian and American armoured carriers thrust into the area in a reconnaissance patrol.
