Snowball Danger
Sir, —“Teen-ager” apparently had some difficulty at Porter’s Pass with the snow-ball-throwing hoodlums. 1 sympathise, as not only did I suffer a like fate but actually saw in the space of an hour two accidents that were attributable to the thoughtlessness of these rather overgrown children and their snowball - throwing. Surely, among those concerned there must be some intelligent and bright people, who would not dream of standing in, say, Colombo street, and hurling rocks at passing cars. Why, then, do they do it at Porter’s Pass? I feel that if this type of thing is not stopped it could get out of hand. Snowball fighting is fun, but not where lives or personal property are endangered.— Yours, etc., TEEN-AGER ALSO. July 20, 1965.
