Wrong Day?
“The convener is not a Rugby enthusiast,” said Cr. E. R. Radcliffe, when he told the Mount Herbert County Council yesterday that a working bee had been arranged this morning for Governors Bay people to plant roadside trees and do other beautifying work. The chairman (Mr J. H. Mathias) expressed surprise that the project was arranged for the day of the CanterburySpringboks’ match.
