TRY-SCORING THRUST.—The Canterbury pack leader, R. . Duff, bursts away with the ball at toe to begin Canterbury’s tryscoring movement in the second minute of the 1956 match. The Canterbury flanker, J.B. Buxton, who scored the try, is second from the left, between the South African half-back, C.F. Strydom, and the flanker, C.J. de Wilzem. At the extreme right is the Canterbury captain, P.B. Vincent.
