N.Z. Stocks Steadier; Overseas Still Easy
New Zealand stocks were steadier in trading yesterday with leaders still easy and most fluctuations narrow. Overseas issues held the same level as the day before.
Dominion Breweries continued to firm with a 2d rise to 18s, while Waitaki Farmers’ Freezing and South Otago each gained 3d. K.P.G. rose 3d to 6s lOd, McKendrick 3d to 6s 6d. A.B. Consolidated 2d to 6s 2d and Autocrat recovered 6d to 15s 9d.
Australian key stocks again reflected the weaker overseas trend. Falls were shown by Ampol, A.C.1., Boral, David Jones, G. J. Coles, Waltons and Woolworths.
