Savings Bank Donations

(From Our Own Reporter) BLENHEIM, July 22. Two hundred and fifty pounds was given to 17 organisations by the Marlborough division of the Canterbury Savings Bank in Blenheim on Wednesday. The branch was opened last December. This was the first distribution of profits. Organisations which received cheques were:—Birthright, Red Cross Society, Plunket Society, St. John Ambulance Brigade, Boys’ Life Brigade, Giris’ Life Brigade, Boy Scouts’ Association, Giri Guides’ Association, Blenheim Operatic Society, Edwin Fox Restoration Society, Marlborough Museum Trust, Centennial Hall Fund, Senior Citizens’ Association, Heritage, Intellectually Handicapped Children's Association, Crippled Children’s Association, Navy League, Picton.
