Customs Rise In Auckland

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 22. Customs revenue collected at Auckland in the six months to June 30 was up by £843,241, of 5.6 per cent, to £15.870.017. The coMectnion for June totalled £3,245,049, compared with £2,721,565 for June, 1964. This increase was mainly because of a rise of £424,838 in sales tax. Figures for June were: Customs dues, £1,632,187 (£1,660,544 a year ago); tyre duty, £1095 (£2105); sales tax, £1,062,144 (£637,276); other revenue, £549.653 (£421.640).
