CONSULSGENERAL
Two U.S. Posts (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 22. The appointment of two consuls-general in the United States was announced today by the Minister of External Affairs (Mr Holyoake). Both will take up their positions in November. Mr M. P. Chapman, the present consul-general in San Francisco, has been named consul-general in Los Angeles. (The New Zealand consulate there was recently raised to the status of a consulategeneral.) Mr J. G. Hale, cbnsul at The Hague, has been appointed to replace Mr Chapman in San Francisco. He previously served in Wellington and London. In addition to service in the Department of External Affairs in Wellington, Mr Chapman has been stationed in New York, New Delhi, and Kuala Lumpur, as well as San Francisco.
