Scouts Attend Meeting
Five venture scouts and their leader (Mr E. W. Arnold) attended last night’s meeting of the Heathcote County Council to observe its activities.
The scouts, from the Heathcote Valley troop, last week heard a talk on council affairs by the County Clerk (Mr W. H. Scrimgeour) and Cr. W. B. Laing. They were welcomed last night by the chairman (Mr C. D. Le Comte).
The scouts present were J. Connolly, P. Arnold, K. Sullivan, P. Williams and C. Crocker. Next month, Arnold, Sullivan, Williams and Crocker will each be presented with the Queen’s scout medal.
