OLD DESIGN FOR NEW LAMPS.—Copies of beautiful Victorian lamp standards on parts of the Thames embankments in London are being made for the Greater London Council by the Meadow Foundry Company, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. The 38 new standards, three of which are shown at the factory, will continue the line on the south bank when more land is reclaimed.
