Road Toll Now 329
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 19.
The road accident rate continued to soar, an official of the Transport Department said today. At midday the July deaths were already 34, five more than for July last year, and deaths since January 1 were 329, 90 higher than in the same period last year. Fatalities in the two last weeks, including the Marton bus crash, were 10 drivers, 11 passengers, five pedestrians, a cyclist and a motor-cyclist
