BUS SMASH VICTIMS

Shops Close For Funeral (N.Z. Press Association) LEVIN, July 19. Shops, offices and f actories in Levin closed for an hour today during the funerals of four of the five victims of Friday’s bus tragedy near Marton. The combined funeral service at St. Mary’s Anglican Church was for Mrs Francesca Romans, Mrs Valmai Patricia Farrell, Mrs Marjorie Eliza Netten, and Mrs Sadie Frances Day. The funeral of the fifth victim, Mrs Eunice Florence I Sorenson, was held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church later.

Still Very Hl.— Mrs Bessie Weggery, aged 40, of George street, Levin, who was injured in the bus accident near Marton last Friday, is still seriously ill. She is in Wanganui Hospital.—(P-A.)
