KISSING IN PUBLIC
Prohibition In Egypt (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) CAIRO, July 19. Kissing in public is outlawed in Egypt—except for saying goodbye in such places as airports or railway stations. Now, a magazine editor has suggested Cairo should hawe a public garden wh’.re couples can kiss without prosecution. "Where can a couple in love exchange kisses in our society?” the editor asks. “If a girl goes to a boy's apartment, things may not stop with just a kiss. If she kisses him on the street, they are liable to be attested.” Many an Unmarried Cairo couple resort to going to a railway station, posing as travellers and kissing each other as train after train pulls away.
