Representing 5166 Bowlers
There are now #8 clubs affiliated to the Christchurch Bowling Centre, representing 5166 bowlers, according to the annual report presented at the centre’s annual meeting last evening. During the year four new clubs were affiliated to the centre. The increase in bowlers is 193. of whom 152 are from the four new clubs. During the season the Christchurch centre won five of its seven representative fixtures. Mr J. R. smith, who was again elected as a selector, is now in his twentieth year as a selector. The meeting resolved to keep levies the same at last year. Officers elected were:— President, Mr F. T. H. Bell (Riccarton Racecourse); senior vice-president, Mr J. A. Moloney; junior-vice-president. Mr H. W. Calvert; treasurer, Mr J Owen: executive members. Messrs H. C. Collett, H. R. Pool: match committee, Messrs M. A Le Cren, J, R. Smith, J. A Moloney. H. W. Calvert. H.
