For the second year in succession the New Zealand ploughing championships for the Atlantic Silver Plough will be held in Canterbury. This year’s final, which is the climax of 22 qualifying rounds held by local ploughing match associations and Young Farmers’ Clubs throughout the country, will be held on Saturday on a paddock on the property of Mr W. A. Hood, about a mile north of Chertsey in Mid-Canterbury. Chertsey is 12 miles north of Ashburton and 41 miles south of Christchurch.
