SEA PRODS. ISSUE

Applications For 78 p.c. f.V.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. July 13. New Zealanders have applied for more than threequarters of the issue by New Zealand Sea Products Export. Ltd., of 2m 5s ordinary shares.

Announcing this today the chairman of directors (Sir Peter Phipps) said the company has been able to confirm orders for the first two factory ships.

He said the first of the vessels should be delivered by October, 1966. and the second a month or two later. The ships. 140 ft stemtrawl vessels, will be built by Norwegian shipbuilders in Oslo.

Sir Peter Phipps said that shares applied for ensured that the company would go to allotment and proceed with its plans. The exact number of shares applied for until today totals 1,550,000. Applications have come from 3000 New Zealanders.

Sir Peter Phipps added that the directors were confident the issue would be fully subscribed before it closed in 10 days.
