BURNSIDE HIGH SCHOOL
Too Many Apply For Enrolment
About 60 more pupils than could be accommodated had applied for enrolment at Burnside High School, the principal (Mr C. Cross) advised a meeting of the school’s board of governors. Mr Cross said 353 applications had been received but only about 290 could be accepted. Academic records would have no bearing on the selection of applicants, which would depend on proximity to the school and relatives already attending.
