FAIR LINDA IN FORM
To Campaign At Trentham "The Press" Special Service HASTINGS. Fair Linda's brilliant win in the Frimley Trial at Hastings on Saturday means the Takan;ni trainer, G. G. Cameron, will go to Trentham. Had she failed. Cameron would have gone home. He came south with what looked a powerful team, but Paromac was injured in a fall at Wanganui and failed to respond to treatment. He is already back at Takanini. Then Equality failed so badly at Wanganui that Cameron did not consider him worth nominating for Trentham. He won two sprints later and almost made It three on Saturday, but also has been sent home. Explaining Action Packed's failure in the Te Mata Handicap, Cameron said: "He is getting pretty old now and he does not try in heavy ground. And he does not like it on the rails either." Cameron had Blue Holy in the Vittoria Hurdles at Trentham. but decided against starting her after she faded rapidly at Hastings. She wi'll go to Wellington, however, to run in the Woburn Handicap. Fair Linda, a winner at her three most recent starts, will contest the juvenile event on the second day of the Wellington meeting. She has done her racing in fine style, and her latest win was her best.
