Christchurch I Lose In Senior Badminton
The comparative ease In which Knox I defeated the previously unbeaten Christchurch 1 team was the feature of the Canterbury Badminton A grade inter-club matches. Other teams to win were Railway I, Christchurch 31, and Avonslde. A. Reid and T. Bradbury (Christchurch 1) suffered their first doubles loss of the season, to the usually unreliable comblnation of B. Crofts and E. Ogier (Knox I). B. Crofts continued to show improved form to defeat his Division I teammate, D. Reid, in straight sets. The biggest Individual upset was the shock defeat of Mrs P Duckmanton (Railway I) a Division HI representative this season. by Miss R.
